Farm
The Snake and Reptile farm is one of Perlis major tourist attractions. It houses a large collection of snakes and other reptiles. Run by the Institute for Medical Research, its main objectives are the biological study of Malaysian snakes, the dissemination of information and findings of the research as well as the production of anti-venom for local consumption.
Tips
If you're a bit squeamish in handling a snake, get there early in the day and the snake you wrap around your shoulders for a photo op won't move much at all. The reason? Snakes are cold-blooded and only move more vigorously once they've warmed up in the sun.
